BEAUTY WEAPONS JUST A STEP AWAY
Look around your kitchen. You will definitely find a bunch of beauty ingredients hiding on the shelves or the fridge. Here are a few.
- GRAM FLOUR
Gram flour has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it an ideal beauty weapon to fight acne and clogged pores. When used as a face mask, it gently exfoliates the skin, tightens, brightens and even helps in tan removal.
Mix gram flour with a pinch of turmeric, yogurt and lemon juice. Leave it on your face or any other body part for 20-30 minutes, to get a radiant glow.
- CINNAMON
Cinnamon helps in increasing blood circulation and irritates the mucosa of the lips, causing the lips to swell temporarily.
Mix a little cinnamon powder with coconut oil to use as a lip-plumper, for a healthy pout.
- APPLE CIDER VINEGAR
Apple cider vinegar has excellent antibacterial properties which help fight acne and zits. It also contains alpha hydroxy acids that help remove dead skin and reveal a healthy and vibrant skin.
One can use it as a face toner to reap its benefits. Dabbing it simply on the affected area can help reduce the redness and irritation.
- FENUGREEK SEEDS
Fenugreek seeds contain hormones that help promote hair growth. They are an excellent source of protein and nicotinic acid that strengthen the hair shaft, prevents breakage and treats follicular problems.
Mix coconut oil and fenugreek seeds in a glass jar. Seal it and store it away in a cool and dry place for 3 weeks. Strain the oil and use it to massage your scalp.
- OLIVE OIL
Olive oil can be used as a moisturiser. Its antioxidants and natural acids help strengthen the skin to create a natural barrier against the harmful UV rays of the sun.
You can also add a few drops of olive oil and lavender essential oil to your bath, to treat a sore back or body aches.
