PERFECT BASE WITH 3 SIMPLE STEPS

Whether you go ahead with contouring, strobing or smokey eyes you need to first prep up your skin. Here’re a few simple steps that can help you do that.

Just like the way an artist requires clear canvas to create a perfect painting, you also need smooth and flawless skin for perfect application of foundation.  Any traces of pre-applied makeup or dirt particles can hinder in obtaining the desired look.

Follow these three simple yet effective steps to get a clean base.

1)  Cleansing – The first and foremost step is to clean face properly. Make sure your face gets rid of all previous makeup and dirt. Any traces of kajal or stained lips can ruin the whole makeup look. Start with a makeup remover and follow with a mild face wash. Use Q-tip dipped in baby oil to remove kajal traces completely. Remember to wash face gently with fingertips rather than applying force or harsh strokes in order to prevent loss of natural oils of skin. We recommend Jhelum Loves Honeytrap Facewash, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and The Face Shop Herbday 365 Cleansing foam aloe.

2) Toning – Applying a toner helps in shrinking the pores, removes the remaining dirt and grime, and restores the skin’s pH balance. Toner can be used either in spray form or with the help of cotton pad. We recommend Plum Green Tea Alcohol-free Toner, Clinique Clarifying Lotion and KAMA Ayurveda Pure Rose Water.

3) Moisturising – This step helps in achieving smooth skin and prevents dryness. The chances of base getting cracked almost becomes zero on well hydrated and moisturised skin.  We recommend Jhelum Loves Divinity Face Cream (hydrates skin without making it oily) Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturiser (controls shine in oil areas, alcohol- free), The Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream and Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Cream (suitable for dry skin).

Quick Tips:

– Always keep a gap of two minutes in between all the steps.

– After applying moisturiser, massage it into your skin for good 2-3 minutes and let it absorb in the skin completely.

– While massaging with moisturiser, you can also rub ice cube on face in between to give a plump and uplifted look.
