RED CHESTNUT BACH FLOWER

Latin Name: Aesculus Carnea

Description: Red Chestnut is a hybrid created from a cross of Horse Chestnut and Red Buckeye. It is a bright red colour flower, which makes it a very striking tree. The plant grows up to a height of 10 meters to 15 meters. Mostly found in gardens and avenues where they show off their colour to advantage. They bloom after the month of May and June.

Myth: It is believed that Dr Bach was working in the garden when he cut himself. He was in shock and was given first-aid but it was reaction of Nora and his friends which caught Dr Bach’s attention. He felt that their fear had made things worse. He then declared that he has found emotional state for his next remedy and that was fear for someone.

Bach Flower Remedy: This flower essence discovered by Dr Edward Bach, is a remedy for people who feel fear for the well-being of others. Fears are natural, the essence helps in calming the mind, so that instead of worrying about your loved ones, making things worse you act as rocks on whom they can depend on.

Dr Bach wrote: “For those who find it difficult not to be anxious for other people. Often they have ceased to worry about themselves, but for those of whom they are fond they may suffer much, frequently anticipating that some unfortunate thing may happen to them.” (Mentioned in The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies)

My experience:

Direction of use: Take 2 drops in a cup of water/herbal tea and sip at intervals. It would be a great idea to sip on this water/tea and meditate on what you experience. Just observe your breath, mind and body after taking the remedy and note down your observations in a journal.
