BID ADIEU TO DARK CIRCLES

Discolouration around the eyes is a problem plaguing many. To reduce these depressing shadows; try these natural, lightening remedies.

 

  1. Cucumber The astringent and skin lightening properties of cucumber make it ideal to be used as a remedy for dark circles. Just cut 2 thick slices of cucumber and refrigerate it for about 30 minutes. After taking them out place them on eyes or 10 minutes. Wash off after that. Another option is to grate a cucumber, take out its juice and mix it with equal quantity of lemon juice. Lemon is also known to lighten the skin tone. Mix both, soak two cotton wool pads with this juice and place it over your eyes 15 minutes. Wash off with cool water.

 

  1. Tomatoes Take out tomato juice and apply it for 10-15 minutes under the eyes or mix 1 tsp. of tomato juice with ½ tsp. of lemon juice. Apply this under the eyes for 10 minutes and wash off. Tomato and lemon both lighten the skin tone. Repeat this twice a day to see fast effects.

 

  1. Potato Potato solves the problem of dark circles as well as puffy eyes. Take one or two potatoes grate them and squeeze out the juice. Apply the juice with cotton ball under the eyes and on the eyelids. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water. Repeat twice daily.

 

  1. Mint leavesTake few mint leaves and crush them into paste form and apply under eyes for 10-15 minutes. Wash off gently.

 

  1. Almond oilAlmond oil is good for skin and helps you get rid of dark circles. Massage some almond oil under the eyes gently before going to bed. Wash off in the morning.
