DON’T LET RAIN SPOIL YOUR HAIR THIS SEASON
We won’t let you complain of frizzy hair or bad hair days this monsoon with these top 10 mane management tips.
With the city drenched in rains, the most important reason for women to complain is not the water logging but the messy hair. So here I am to lift you out of your misery and provide you with the top 10 tips on how to control the havoc that the rain creates in your hair, to control the frizz and make them red carpet ready at any given moment.
1) Blow Dry your hair properly
You don’t want to end up looking like a frizzy haired doll, do you? Make sure you dry your hair in a desert dry manner and do not leave a hint of moisture before you proceed to the next step.
2) Apply an Anti Frizz Serum
Anti frizz serums are you best companions in the rainy season and we suggest you never step out of your homes without using one of these serums. In case you do not have a favourite, you can tryBumble and Bumble DeFrizz or Schwarzkopf Got2b Glossy Anti-Frizz Shine Serum. Just apply the serum with light hands on your hair and avoid overdoing as that might clog the pores.
3) Remember to use any product in moderation
Any product when applied in moderation gives the best results especially on a rainy day when you don’t want to take a chance. You can also use a light finishing spray to make sure your serum sits down well in your hair.
4) Give a moment to the product to settle
Now that you have dried your hair and applied the serum, just wait for five to ten minutes for the products to settle down in your hair. In the meanwhile you can look for your perfect wedges and umbrella and right after five minutes, you are ready to go!
5) Braid your hair into a pretty fishtail
Who said braids are only for summers? Braids are the super cool style to put your hair back at rest on a rainy day and avoid tress disasters. Make a pretty fishtail or French braid in a loose fashion and get ready to receive all the compliments.
6) Avoid using heavy conditioners
The one thing that you always must make sure during rainy season is not use shampoo or conditioner containing drying ingredients like alcohol, in fact they should be light and contain proteins, silicone and smoothening agents to fill the gaps of your hair cuticles.
7) Apply a thermal protector spray
To make sure you lock the moisture of the products you used in your hair and to protect them from the heat of the hair dryer as well as hair irons, don’t forget to use a good thermal protector spray. We would invest our money on Tony&Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist which is total value for the money; you can also go in for Wella Professional Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray. Before you start with the heaters on your hair, make sure you apply the heat protector spray.
8) Dont touch your hair
You are all set and you look great. You don’t need to touch your hair now and again to be assured of their great texture, just let them be! Your hands contain enough moisture to add frizz to your hair so leave them alone.
9) Cover your hair
Scarves don’t only look cool in summers but they are a delight to use in monsoons as well! Carry a nice scarf around your hair which would not only protect your hair from the frizz but add a lot to your styling as well.
10) Carry an umbrella
Well, one of the easiest and cheapest ways to keep your hair frizz free is to save them from getting wet and the best way for that is to use an umbrella! See the umbrella as an accessory that reflects your personality.
