5 DIY MASKS TO STAY WRINKLE FREE

No matter how much we wish for the wrinkles to vanish, they won’t. Here’re a few tips that can help in fading them to a great extent.

Stressful lifestyle, faulty diets, improper skincare and lack of sleep are few causes behind the appearance of premature signs of ageing. It’s important to start taking care of complexion well in advance say around your 25-30s. Here’re some ingredients that nourish the skin and fight a good fight to keep you looking young.
1) Almond oil

Take little bit of almond oil and massage your skin with it every day. You can also take some almonds, soak them overnight. Crush them in the morning. Mix a little bit of honey. Apply this pack on your face for 10 minutes. This pack will leave your skin supple and nourished.

2)  Apricot Mask

Mash up a few fresh apricots and apply the puree directly to your skin or you can combine them with avocado, cream, yogurt or other ingredients to moisturise and renew your skin.

Apricot has vitamins A, C, E and K and fruit acids. Vitamin A is excellent for stimulating new cell growth. Vitamin C contains powerful antioxidants that combat skin damaging free radicals, which cause discolouration and wrinkles. Fruits rich in vitamin C like apricots leave your skin feeling soft, supple and clear.

3) Banana Mask

Take a half ripe banana and mash it with a spoon or a fork in a bowl till it forms a smooth lump free pulp. Add 1/2 tsp of thick milk cream and 2 tsp of raw milk. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. If you feel the mixture is too thick to apply, add a few drops of orange juice. Wash your face with fresh water and use a soft towel to pat it dry. Apply the mask onto your face, using your clean fingers and massage it thoroughly onto your face for a minute. Apply a second thick coat onto your face and let it sit on your face for 15 minutes to allow the mask to work its magic.

Banana is packed with some vital nutrients that make the mask an extraordinary beauty fix. It protects our skin from free radicals and therefore delays the ageing process.

4) Olive oil

Dry skin can cause premature wrinkles. To treat this apply extra virgin olive oil on your face before going to bed. Massage it gently for a few minutes, so that the oil penetrates deep into the skin. Leave it on overnight before washing off with water the next morning. Rich in anti-oxidants it fights against skin damaging free radicals. It also contains vitamins A and E that help in moisturising. It repairs and also regenerates the skin cells.

5) Aloe Vera

Apply fresh aloe vera gel or juice on the skin. Massage it gently in circular motion for 2–3 minutes. For more effective results, leave the gel on overnight and apply it regularly. It acts as a great moisturiser, penetrating into deep layers of the skin. It removes dead skin cells, counteracts the free radicals’ actions and its anti–oxidant property prevents signs of premature ageing. Enriched with vitamins A, B, C and E it nourishes the skin and provides strength to the skin tissues.
